Broken

This project was completed in 2009 as part of my AS Level Photography course. The theme was Disintegration and this Victorian doll that belonged to my great grandmother, more than fit the bill as she was beginning to fall apart even then.  It began as a study of parts of the doll but soon became something much darker in nature.  My A tutor at the time particularly liked the fact that the floor I photographed her on looked very much like the surface of a morgue!

This was the beginning of a more fruitful photographic relationship I had with the doll.  Please also take a look at the ARPS Panel based on my “Looking for Alice’ Foundation degree project.
